We read scam sites the way regulators wish they could
ScamTrix exists because crypto fraud thrives in the gap between how fast scam sites appear and how slowly institutions respond. We work at the speed the fraud does.
What ScamTrix is
An independent investigative publication with one beat: fraudulent cryptocurrency platforms. Every case file we publish starts with primary evidence — domain registration records, DNS and SSL data, blacklist checks, the site’s own claims — and ends with a plain verdict and a trust score from 0 to 100. We do not take payment from the sites we review, and we do not soften verdicts.
Why we publish verdicts
A victim searching “is this site a scam” at 11 p.m. deserves a straight answer backed by documents, not a shrug. So each investigation follows the same 13-point protocol, archives its evidence, and states its conclusion in language a person can act on: scam, highly suspicious, caution, or verified.
What happens after a verdict
Publication is the beginning, not the end. When we conclude a platform is fraudulent, the desk drafts formal abuse complaints to its registrar and hosting provider, citing their own acceptable-use obligations. We track every complaint’s status — sent, delivered, answered, escalated — and we count a domain as taken down only when it actually comes offline.
What we owe you
Accuracy first, speed second. When we get something wrong, we say so on the page, in the open, through our corrections and appeals process. And if you have lost money to a platform we have not covered yet, report it — an investigator reads every submission.
